Why walk when you can run! The En Route Studio crew has been running around with scissors, drafting tools, saw blades and lots of plans ( don't tell our mothers). We're busy making things; all kinds of things. This week, the focus is all on our handbuilt chairs. It started with a sketch, became a paper model, soon rendered in full colors, put through frame trials, and now finished: in just three weeks we have completed the very first wooden frame for our first chair in the new line up of handbuilt chairs.

Our second chair is underway now, after it was sponsored by one of our Etsy fans in New York.
Today we will be handprinting more chair upholstery for several vintage items that will go live in our etsy shop later this week.
